The garden is open to visitors on Wednesdays but for special events on other days please see the Events page for separate details specific to each event.

Light refreshments will be available in Bates Green Garden Café (Wednesdays only). We have sandwiches made to order, tasty homemade seasonal soup and a wonderful selection of freshly baked cakes and scones.

We regret that dogs are not permitted in the garden (except guide dogs) but are welcome in Beatons Wood.

Paid carers have free access with the person they care for, but email us to ensure this has been noted.

There are benches situated throughout the garden and wood, and ramps enabling wheelchair access. Toilets are situated near the entrance including an accessible toilet. Mobility scooters can be borrowed free of charge if booked ahead of your visit. Please email us.

There is ample parking in the field opposite or alongside the road depending on weather conditions. Disabled parking spaces are located opposite the entrance.

As an RHS Partner Garden we offer free access to the garden on Wednesdays when open, for RHS members (primary member only for joint memberships).

We accept BBC Gardener's World 2-for-1 cards.

CPRE members and Sussex Wildlife Trust members also get 2 for 1 entry.

Beatons Wood is not included while Arlington Bluebell Walk is open.

Only one offer can be used per visit.
