The Garden, Wildflower Meadow and Beatons Wood (home to the Arlington Bluebell Walk) are open to visitors every Wednesday and Saturday 10.00am to 4:00pm between
25 February and 28 October 2026.
There is no need to book in advance and you may arrive any time from 10:00am and stay as long as you like until closing time (usually 4pm).
Note, while the Arlington Bluebell Walk is open, Bates Green Garden and the Wildflower Meadow are open every day.

The garden is open to visitors on Wednesdays & Saturdays but for special events on other days please see the Events page for separate details specific to each event.
Light lunches and refreshments are available on Wednesdays & Saturdays when the garden is open to the public. See The Laurel Café page for more details.
Two terraces are available for outside seating and picnics.
We regret that dogs are not permitted in the garden (except guide dogs) but are welcome in the café and on short leads in Beatons Wood to minimise disturbance to wildlife..
Paid carers have free access with the person they care for, but email us to ensure this has been noted.
There are benches situated throughout the garden and wood, and ramps enabling wheelchair access. Toilets are situated near the entrance including an accessible toilet. Mobility scooters can be hired free of charge if booked ahead of your visit. Please email us.
There is ample parking in the field opposite or alongside the road depending on weather conditions. Disabled parking spaces are located opposite the entrance.

From the A22, Hailsham Bypass, take Arlington Road heading west. Or, from the A27 at Wilmington, take Thornwell Road heading north.
Car parking is along the road verge adjacent to the entrance.
